Caught in a thought of islands

How many times have you been on the airplane, and whilst reading the free in-flight travel magazine, you ponder whether to take it or not? Nah, why bother, it’s too heavy? But there are quite a few pages that bite your curiosity – the rest is just advertisment…

So instead you decide to cut the bits of pages that are interesting. How embarassing – a bitten book.
The only thought that comes to mind, is that you hope to have left some interesting bits for other people to read, or at least you’d want to think that you’ve satisfied the editor, because the articles were packed with captivating reports.

Yesterday, I received a very touching letter from the parents of a good friend. I only coincided with them once, at the beginning of this new year. After having exchanged several conversations, I concluded that they were simply adorable people.
And guess what? I discovered that I wasn’t the only one that would take bits from a magazine. They sent through some pages of a great article, about diving sites of the island/country that they lived in: New Zealand, particularly Christchurch – a city in its South Island.
There are so many countries that share a friendship with their islands. I wonder how they get their names.
I have to end this post sharing a beautiful quote in his letter:

“Friendship and memories, are the essence of life embracing all those moments we spend together.”
